Some drivers don't pre-register which causes issues with the heats already configured in the race computer.
Some drivers register but don't turn up for various reasons, again this causes issues with the pre-configured heats.
Have driver lists on the website updated AS SOON as you've registered.
Have a single place for event registration.
To reduce the amount of cash on site at a race meeting.
Improve cashflow for the club.
So with the introduction of automated booking in there'll be a few changes...
You can only pre-register via the website - a process has been introduced for people who don't have an internet connection.
Non-members who opt to pay on the day will pay an increased fee - to deter 'no shows' and also to promote electronic payment (improved cashflow for the club).
Drivers who still register for an event (who havent pre-paid) and don't turn up will be identified via the website to notify other clubs of their 'no show' but that's not all.... You will still be charged your race fee for the missed event the next time you turn up at the track.
Withdraw BEFORE the event cut off (roughly 48hrs) and you won't be charged.
This new procedure may seem a bit harsh to some, but you need to consider the fact that EVERYONE who runs a race FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT does so FREE OF CHARGE and this lack of consideration of a few can spoil it for the majority (insufficient numbers in heats, issues with a lack of marshalls etc) so we hope you understand that COURTESY DOESN'T COST YOU ANYTHING!
